Learn how controlled grazing of cattle is critical to encouraging habitat of grassland birds. Protecting environmentally sensitive areas and encouraging proper gazing methods has been proven to strengthen both grassland birds and native species of flora and fauna. You will learn what native grass species are available, what and where water has been made available, and how these positive grazing methods have enhanced the Carden area for grassland birds. Jack Kyle is the Ontario grazing specialist for the Province of Ontario and Doug Plaunt is the eastern Canadian representative for Kellen Solar who sells solar water pumps. Both will be available to answer questions on the tour. Maximum 25 participants, minimum 5.
